The title Holy Surrender speaks to the kind of rest that mirrors God's own. Not the absence of effort, but the fullness of being. It draws us nearer.
This piece was created while reflecting on menuha—the Hebrew word for a kind of rest that feels like delight. A divine rhythm. A soft return.
Layers of house paint, oil stick, acrylic, pencil, and wax reveal forms moving in slow, unhurried motion—some defined, some dissolving. All drawn in a single direction, like the gentle pull of a river. This is the shape of holy surrender: not effort, but trust. A rest that moves us forward.
Tones of verdant green, kelp, moss, and sea glass softly veil the surface like a gentle hush.
This piece offers a visual for menuha—a rest that is light, effortless, and quietly sustaining. A letting go that does not hold us back, but carries us. It is, above all, an invitation to pause. To rest as He did. To be moved not by striving, but by trust.

Through texture, tone, and repetition, I’m searching for what can’t be said—only felt. Each piece in the Silver Swims series is a kind of prayer. An offering. A quiet place to return to. An invitation into stillness, presence, and communion.
