ABOUT THE WORK
The title Holy Surrender speaks to what is given, not taken. To the kind of release that draws us nearer to what’s most true. It’s not passive. It’s presence.
Layers of wax and pigment hold forms in slow, unhurried motion—some defined, some dissolving. Forms drift without effort, suspended like breath between prayers.
Tones of bone, soft silver, and indigo smoke form a field that feels both grounded and weightless, like the hum that lingers after an amen.
This piece holds space for the kind of surrender that doesn’t strip us, but steadies us. It is, above all, an invitation to pause. A reminder that rest is not a pause in becoming, but the becoming itself. A holy kind of homecoming.

The ocean has always been a place I return to—visually, emotionally, spiritually. It’s where memory softens and feeling begins to blur. Through texture, tone, and repetition, I’m searching for what can’t be said—only felt. Each piece in the Silver Swims series is a kind of prayer. An offering. A quiet place to return to. An invitation into stillness, presence, and communion.
